I picked some skincare items that work for any skin type as well as my favorite makeup items. I hope this gift guide is helpful to anyone shopping for a picky beauty lover like myself lol!
The Neogen day light protection sunscreen is one of the best selling sunscreens at Soko Glam so I had to give it a try. This sunscreen is supposed to be friendly for sensitive and acne prone skin because it is silicone free. I am extremely picky about sunscreens because sun damage prevention is important to me. Let’s get into the review to see if this sunscreen lived up to my standards!
The Dr. Jart cicapair cream caught my eye while I was shopping from a holiday sale on Dr. Jart’s website. I was really curious about this cream after I had such a great experience with the Dr. Jart ceramidin cream a few months ago. I’m extremely picky about moisturizers because I have very dry skin and I live in a desert climate. I couldn’t wait to find out if the cicapair cream would be enough to hydrate my dry skin type!
The Heimish all clean cleansing balm is one of the most popular cleansing balm formulas out there! Cleansing balms are a part of the Korean double cleansing method. The double cleansing method uses an oil cleanser like this one to remove oil based impurities (makeup and sunscreen) then following up with a gentle water based cleanser for water based impurities (dirt and sweat). Let’s get into today’s review of the Heimish cleansing balm!
I couldn’t wait to try the Dr. Jart ceramidin cream after hearing so many great things about Dr. Jart’s ceramidin line. I’m already a huge fan of their ceramidin sheet mask so I had a good feeling about the cream since ceramides are incredible for hydrating dry skin and protecting the skin barrier. This was actually my first time trying a full sized Dr. Jart product as opposed to a sheet mask. Let’s get into today’s review to see if this moisturizer was a winner!
The Beauty of Joseon repair serum caught my eye when I saw snail mucin on the bottle. I am a big fan of snail mucin skincare as someone with dry skin and post acne marks. This Korean brand emphasizes traditional skincare from the Joseon dynasty. I couldn’t wait to try this serum because of it’s eye catching color and stellar rating! Let’s get into today’s review:

Keep reading to learn the importance of low pH skincare and how cleansers can affect your skin!
I’m so excited to review the Banila Co. cleansing balm which was one of the first products I started using when I got into K-beauty five years ago. Cleansing balms are used in the double cleansing method which begins by removing makeup and sunscreen with an oil based cleanser like this one then following up with your typical foaming water based cleanser. Let’s get into today’s review!
It’s time for the Spring 2021 Sephora sale so I wanted to share my recommendations and what I’ll be purchasing from the sale! Here are my current recommendations for the Spring 2021 Sephora sale:
I couldn’t wait to try the Krave Beauty matcha hemp cleanser after my great experiences with the Krave Kale-lalu-yAHA exfoliator and Krave beet shield sunscreen. I was so excited to get my hands on this cleanser after it was sold out when I originally tried to purchase from the brand. Let’s see if the Krave cleanser lives up to the other products in the line!
