Last weekend, my boyfriend and I celebrated our two year anniversary by taking a day trip up to Lake Tahoe. The weather had been in the 70’s in the days prior, but on the day we went, the temperature dropped down into the 30’s. It was freezing around the lake, but we still had a great day 🙂 Anyways, this massive temperature drop has been hard on my dry skin so I thought I would share my favorite ways to keep the skin healthy during the dry winter months!
On my blog, I usually like to cover beauty, fashion, and health related topics, but this week I wanted to do something a little different. These articles, videos, and podcasts really caught my attention because they explore social issues that are so relevant right now.
About a month ago, I started using the Murad Age Reform AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser. I had just stopped using the Glossier Milky Jelly cleanser and I realized I had a large sample of the Murad cleanser under my sink. About five days after I started using it, I had the worst skin I had ever had in my entire life.
Every spring and fall, I get chronic bloody noses (I know, a very glamorous topic for the blog). Bloody noses aren’t that big of a deal, but they’re a major inconvenience! Last year, I had to run out of a 300 person lecture hall because the bloody nose decided to strike! After the bloody noses started coming back with the weather changing, I decided it was time to make a change.
As far as my beauty routines go, I don’t spend a lot of time on my hair. I was going to write a beauty favorites post, but then I realized most of my favorites were hair care and styling centered so I refocused my attention. These hair products truly blew me away with their quality. I will definitely be restocking these items because they have changed my hair for the better!
I never wanted a Twitter account. During our designated phone time, I would glance at my boyfriend’s phone and watch him scroll through Twitter. Just looking from afar, Twitter appeared to be the most scattered social media site I had ever seen. As someone who genuinely loves organization, Twitter just didn’t seem like the app for me.
It’s crazy to think I started college a year ago. I was brimming with so much anxiety and dread. Just like most major life events, college is idealized in the media. College websites show happy students studying in the grass. Movies portray college life as one huge party with drugs, bad decisions, etc. I just didn’t didn’t know what to expect.
