I’m thrilled to review the Paula’s Choice cleansing balm today because I’m a big fan of the double cleansing method. Double cleansing is a gentle way to remove makeup and impurities without stripping the skin. The method starts with an oil based cleanser like this one to remove makeup and sunscreen then follows up with a second cleanser, a typical foaming water based cleanser. Let’s get into today’s review to see how the Paula’s Choice cleansing balm performs against makeup and sunscreen!
I had the opportunity to try the Estee Lauder Vitamin C serum and I couldn’t wait to see if this luxury serum was worth the price. Vitamin C serums are amazing for fading hyperpigmentation like acne scars and sun spots. I was excited to test this serum against my acne scars.
The Shani Darden cleansing serum is from celebrity esthetician, Shani Darden, who works on some of Hollywood’s most beautiful faces including Shay Mitchell, Kelly Rowland, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. I couldn’t wait to try Shani’s cleanser which claims to be a gentle cleanser safe and gentle for all skin types. Here’s my thoughts on the cleansing serum:
I’m so excited to review the Banila Co. cleansing balm which was one of the first products I started using when I got into K-beauty five years ago. Cleansing balms are used in the double cleansing method which begins by removing makeup and sunscreen with an oil based cleanser like this one then following up with your typical foaming water based cleanser. Let’s get into today’s review!
It’s time for the Spring 2021 Sephora sale so I wanted to share my recommendations and what I’ll be purchasing from the sale! Sephora doesn’t have sales very often so now is a great time to restock on the basics as well as try out some new beauty while it’s on sale. Here are my current recommendations for the Spring 2021 Sephora sale:
I was so excited to try the Meebak cica cleanse duo because I absolutely love cica for treating my acne in a gentle and hydrating way. I was curious to see what cica infused toning pads and cleanser could do for my skin. Let’s get into today’s review of the Meebak cica cleanse duo!
I was excited to test the Pyunkang Yul intensive repair cream on my dry skin after hearing great things about it’s deeply hydrating texture. My skin type is naturally dry and I live in a dry climate. It can be tough to keep my skin hydrated in the wintertime when the air is extra dry without a good moisturizer on deck. Let’s get into today’s review to see if this cream passes the test with my dry skin!
Since Vitamin C serums are great for glowing skin, I was excited to try the I Dew Care Vitamin C serum. I used to use The Ordinary Vitamin C suspension 23% about a year and a half ago, but I stopped because the formula really irritated my skin. When I Dew Care gifted me the Bright Side Up serum, I was cautiously optimistic that I could reintroduce Vitamin C into my routine again.
As a big fan of double cleansing, I was really excited to try the Glow Recipe papaya cleansing balm. I love using cleansing balms every night to remove my makeup and sunscreen. When I first started getting into K-beauty 5 years ago, I became infatuated with cleansing balms and they are still one of my favorite Korean products today. I’m going to do a brief overview of double cleansing and cleansing balms for those of you who are new to K-beauty or cleansing balms.
