I heard about the Purito centella green sunscreen on titkok. After hearing so many great reviews, I knew I had to try it out for myself. Purito is a k-beauty brand that strives to create clean effective formulas at an affordable price. They even use recycled packaging! Let’s get into today’s purito centella green level sunscreen review:

Consistency

The Purito centella green sunscreen is my new favorite sunscreen because of the lightweight consistency. I love k-beauty sunscreens because of their lightweight formula, but this is by far the best. The formula of this sunscreen is lightly moisturizing without being greasy whatsoever. I have to say that I favor this sunscreen over the Biore watery essence sunscreen because I feel like it is good for my skin, but the Biore one is definitely a close second for me. 

I love how it feels with my moisturizer because it keeps my skin hydrated without feeling stuffy or clogged. A sunscreen with skincare benefits like these is such a bonus! This sunscreen is such a great fit for my dry skin, but it’s suitable for all skin types because it is so light. The dewy finish of this sunscreen is so pretty.

Type of Sunscreen

The Purito centella green sunscreen is a chemical sunscreen. Chemical sunscreens work by absorbing UV rays so they don’t penetrate into the skin. The benefit of this sunscreen and other chemical screens like it is they don’t leave the dreaded white cast. This sunscreen is friendly for darker skin tones. Centella Asiatica Extract– (AKA cica) to help with redness, irritation, and inflammation in the skin

Hyaluronic Acid– to hydrate and plump the skin

Tocopherol– (a derivative of Vitamin E) to restore the skin from damage and work as an antioxidant to repel free radicals

Scent

The Purito centella green sunscreen has a very light lemony fragrance that I’ve noticed with many K-beauty sunscreens like the COSRX snail mucin sunscreen. The fragrance is very light and fades after application so it doesn’t bother me in the slightest. Purito also makes a fragrance free version of the sunscreen that would be worth checking out if you are extremely sensitive to fragrance.

How does it perform under makeup?

This sunscreen works as an excellent prep for makeup. It has a dewy finish so it gives my foundation a radiant glow without looking or feeling greasy. I never had any problems with my makeup pilling when I prepped with this sunscreen. Pilling is a huge pet peeve of mine so I am always very picky about my makeup prep. 

Price

The Purito centella green sunscreen is $16 on Amazon for 2 oz. Like most K-beauty sunscreens, this product is very affordable at only $8 per oz. This sunscreen lasted me a couple months. For daily usage, I apply ½ teaspoon to my face every morning after my moisturizer. I also make sure to reapply every 2 hours if I am spending extended time outside. I definitely did this for fun Tahoe days. This sunscreen is such a steal since it is so affordable and effective.

Overall, the Purito centella green sunscreen is a 10/10 for me. The formula works so well for my dry skin and it’s a great skin prep for my makeup. My skin always feels protected from the sun without any irritation. If I had to describe this sunscreen in one word, it would be excellent.
