Naturium Plant Ceramide Moisturizer Review

Naturium plant ceramide cream

The Naturium plant ceramide cream caught my eye because I’m always on the hunt for rich barrier supporting creams to hydrate my dry skin. My friend, Laura (@mexicanskinlover) recommended this cream to me and I knew I had to give it a try. I’ve also wanted to try Naturium for a while because their dedication to high quality formulas at affordable prices sounded right up my alley. Let’s get into today’s review!

Naturium plant ceramide cream

Consistency

The Naturium plant ceramide moisturizer has a dense consistency that absorbs easily into the skin. While this moisturizer is rich, it doesn’t feel greasy or heavy which I really love. I noticed some ceramide rich moisturizers often leave a luminous matte finish, but this one dries down with a beautiful glow.

As I have a naturally dry skin type and live in a dry desert climate, I am always on the hunt for rich moisturizers that actually hydrate my skin. I was so impressed that my skin felt so hydrated without feeling clogged with the extra layers of sunscreen (and sweat) on my skin during the summer.

I would say this moisturizer is great for those with dry skin, mature skin, and sensitive skin. If you have oily or combo skin, you might enjoy this moisturizer for wintertime or at night if you’re feeling extra dry.

Scent

This ceramide moisturizer is formulated without fragrance. It has a very, very faint smell that I can’t really identify, but isn’t unpleasant and fades quickly with application. This is safe for those sensitive to fragrance.

Highlighted Ingredient

Ceramides- mimic the stratum corneum (the outer layer of the skin) to support the skin’s barrier by keeping it hydrated and protected

*The formula is also vegan and cruelty free!

How does it perform under makeup?

This Naturium cream makes for a lovely base for makeup. It’s a little dewy which gives the skin a beautiful glow under foundation and also something for the makeup to grip to. I didn’t have any issues with this cream pilling under makeup!

Price

Rich moisturizers can run up a hefty price tag, but I’m happy to report the Naturium plant ceramide cream (also available at Target) is very affordable at $25 for 1.7 oz. The texture is so luxurious for such an affordable cream!

Packaging

This ceramide cream comes in a nice glass jar that isn’t too heavy. I didn’t have any issues with the jar, but I do prefer traveling with tube moisturizers like the Cosrx cica intense cream because they’re more compact in a suitcase.

Results

Overall, I had a great experience with the Naturium plant ceramide moisturizer. I love how affordable it is and my skin never felt dry while using this. The formula is really impressive for the price. The Cosrx cica intense cream is still my favorite moisturizer for dry skin, but this is still a great option and a great cream.

After trying out this cream, I’d love to try more from this brand. I’m really curious about their purple ginseng cleansing balm, the intense overnight sleeping cream, and their phyto-glow lip balm

Have you tried anything from Naturium?
