OOTD and Busy Month

I wanted to try something a little different and post about one of my outfits for the first time. I’m also excited to share more pictures from this shoot because I can only post like 3 pictures from a shoot before I worry about my feed being boring haha.

I ordered this sweater a few weeks ago and I was a little unsure about it at first because it’s a little out of my comfort zone, but now I love it. I get into such a rut with clothes shopping because sometimes I unconsciously order items similar to what I already own because I know they work for me, but they’re not “fun” and I kind end up wearing a “uniform”.

I like this sweater because it isn’t bulky like most of my winter sweaters and will be perfect as it starts to get a little warmer. I think I want to come back to this sweater in a month or so and style it with a skirt and some sneakers as a transitioning into spring look. In the end, I’m really happy with how this look came out especially with the crazy sunglasses.

These past few weeks have been so busy for me. Three weeks ago, I was sick all week and had to take a full day off of school which was really unusual for me because I’ll just miss my first class and go the rest of the day if I’m feeling under the weather, but this cold really wiped me out.

The following week was spend playing catch up on the work I missed and cramming to finish pre-midterm projects. I’ve been really proud of myself this semester because I’ve been going to the gym about twice a week since January, but I just couldn’t fit it in while I was sick or doing all the projects that week.

Then, this last week with midterms, I was able to make it back to the gym, but I didn’t have the time to blog or shoot because I was so busy studying and painting a bathroom by myself. It was the first time I had to take a six minute nap on campus just to get through my day. Busy weeks are so taxing because you so often have to compromise on the activities in your daily life that you do to take care of yourself.

For me, school had to come first before taking care of myself (going to the gym in this case) and my hobby (blogging). I think the important thing to keep in mind when you make these compromises is that you don’t completely abandon your self care, even if you have to compromise on some activities that are for yourself. Even with these busy weeks, I still made time to spend with my partner and do my full skincare routines on my favorite days of the week, Exfoliation Thursday and Skincare Sunday.

Busy days turn into busy weeks which turn into busy months, but cramming in time to take care of you will always be more fulfilling than giving up on the things that make you happy.

Wishing you well on your busy weeks 🙂
