I couldn’t wait to try the Krave Beauty matcha hemp cleanser after my great experiences with the Krave Kale-lalu-yAHA exfoliator and Krave beet shield sunscreen. I discovered Krave Beauty on Tiktok over the summer and I have truly loved every product I’ve tried from them. I was so excited to get my hands on this cleanser after it was sold out when I originally tried to purchase from the brand. Let’s see if the Krave cleanser lives up to the other products in the line!

Consistency

The Krave matcha hemp cleanser has a delightfully slimy texture! The jelly feels so rich and hydrating. This is not a cleanser that foams up very much, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t work. In most cases, foaming cleansers are better for oily skin unlike dry skin like mine. Since this cleanser is a Korean cleanser, I’ll tell you right now that if you aren’t using the double cleansing method to wash your face, this cleanser will not be enough to remove your makeup.

Korean cleansers (both oil cleansers and water based cleansers like this one) are designed to be extremely gentle. If you don’t use an oil cleanser before this cleanser, it would not be a good fit for you. I religiously double cleanse every night so between my oil cleansing balm (Banila Clean It Zero) and the Krave matcha hemp cleanser, my skin is gently cleaned and hydrated without drying or striping my skin. 

Scent

The scent of the Krave cleanser is difficult to describe. I guess the best way I could put it is that it smells like fresh veggies (in a good way)… I really don’t mind the scent because it is very faint and not unpleasant. This cleanser is formulated without fragrance so it would be a great fit if you or your skin are sensitive to fragrance!

The Krave matcha hemp cleanser is only $16 for 4 ounces of product ($4 per ounce)! This is such a great deal for an amazing cleanser. This cleanser lasted me a really long time because a small amount of product goes a long way. This is a K-beauty steal!

Packaging

I love the tube this cleanser comes in! I have no complaints about the packaging whatsoever. The tube is easy to squeeze, it doesn’t leak in my bag, and it’s very easy to get the last bit of product out as well. Another great thing about this tube is that it is 100% recyclable! I love that Krave actively works to minimize their carbon footprint.

Results

Overall, I really loved the Krave matcha hemp cleanser. It is so gentle and hydrating on my skin. It is difficult to find good cleansers out there that don’t strip my dry skin of the little oil it has. I can use this cleanser in the morning and night without any irritation or uncomfortable dryness after cleansing. I think all skin types would benefit from this cleanser, but it is especially beneficial if you have dry skin like me! I love Krave Beauty so much. Every product I’ve tried from the brand has been a game changer for my skin <3
