Choosing the 10 Best Beauty Products of 2022 wasn’t easy because I tried a lot of great products this year! I broke up my list into 3 categories: skincare, makeup, and hair to share my favorites from the year. Let’s get into the 10 best beauty products of 2022!

Skincare

Cosrx Cica Intense Cream

The Cosrx Cica intense cream has a thick consistency that nourishes my dry skin upon application. I love that it’s thick and hydrating without feeling greasy or clogging. Every day, I use this cream in the morning under sunscreen and at night under Vaseline. I love that it’s formulated with cica (centella asiatica) to soothe redness and irritation as well as prevent acne. It’s been the perfect moisturizer through all the seasons! This is truly such a holy grail cream for my dry skin.

Laneige Hydro UV Defense Sunscreen

After finishing several tubes of the Laneige Hydro UV Defense sunscreen, I can say without a doubt, this is one of my favorite hydrating sunscreens for dry skin. The formula is rich and creamy without making my skin feel greasy. This sunscreen works wonderfully over moisturizer and under makeup with no pilling or white cast.

Dr. Jart Cryo Rubber Sheet Masks

Last Christmas my sister was kind enough to gift me a few of the Dr. Jart Cryo Rubber sheet masks. Since they’re quite pricey at $15 a mask, I held on to them for quite a while waiting for a special occasion. I decided I am the special occasion and just used them and wowee, I was amazed! These sheet masks have two steps: a thick cream-like serum and the cryo rubber mask that is applied over the serum. 

After removing the cryo rubber masks, my skin looked like I had just received a professional facial. These masks truly give the skin that beautiful glass skin look! I tried the vitamin c, collagen, and hyaluronic acid masks and I truly LOVED every single one. Due to the price, I definitely can’t incorporate them into my regular routine, but using one every now and then is such a treat!

JUNOCO Cleansing Balm

The JUNOCO cleansing balm has a lightweight balm consistency that melts easily in the hands. The texture has the most lightweight feeling to it out of all the cleansing balms I’ve ever tried; it almost feels like a liquid cleansing oil. Upon application to dry skin, the cleansing balm easily breaks down my makeup and sunscreen in the first step of my double cleansing routine. It does a great job of melting away mascara without pulling or tugging at my lashes or irritating my eyes in any way. This cleansing balm emulsifies soooo easily with water which makes it easy to wash off!

While the JUNOCO cleansing balm is my second favorite cleansing balm to my all time favorite Banila Co. clean it zero, this cleansing balm was truly a delightful find of the year and I’ll be repurchasing in the future!

KP Bump Eraser Scrub

I’ve always had KP (keratosis pilaris AKA those annoying little bumps that frequently occur on arms and legs) and have tried many scrubs over the years to remedy the bumps. The First Aid Beauty KP bump erasing scrub blew every other scrub I’ve ever tried out of the water with results! I use the KP bump eraser 1-2 times a week on my arms (and legs to prevent ingrowns from shaving) and I’ve seen a major improvement in my skin! The bumps aren’t completely gone and I don’t ever expect them to go away to be honest, but my skin has felt so much smoother. 

 

Makeup

Fenty Eaze Drop Skin Tint

The Fenty Eaze Drop skin tint completely revolutionized my complexion routine! While most days I am makeup-free, on the days I choose to wear makeup, I always reach for the Fenty eaze drop skin tint. It has a soft blurring finish that hides redness while still letting the skin shine through. It feels so lightweight on the skin and I love it gives my skin a “your skin but better” look! I hardly ever reach for other foundations anymore with this in my collection.

Patrick Ta Major Dimension Eyeshadow Palette

The Patrick Ta major dimension eyeshadow palette has quickly become my favorite nude palette to date. The palette includes a dimension of colors with two cream formulas, four mattes, and six shimmer shades. I can truly say I adore every shadow in this palette and I’m highly impressed by the rich pigmentation and vibrant shimmers in the shadows. I love how versatile this palette is for creating natural, everyday looks or something more dramatic for nighttime. 

Patrick Ta Major Volume Plumping Lip Gloss

I am not a big fan of the tingly feeling of plumping lip gloss so it came as a surprise to me that I enjoyed the Patrick Ta plumping lip gloss so much! As opposed to an uncomfortable tingling, this lip gloss feels cooling on the lips with a yummy cinnamon flavor. I have this gloss in the shade “superficial” which is a warm beige with microscopic gold shimmer. This gloss looks lovely on the lips whether worn alone or paired with a lip liner. I am considering getting this gloss in another shade, “full syringe”, a true red because I truly adore this gloss so much!

 

Hair

Nature Lab Tokyo Perfect Texture Shampoo and Conditioner

For those of you who follow me on Instagram, I’ve shared my journey this year in learning to care for and style my wavy hair. Through my wavy hair journey, living in the desert, and swimming weekly, I’ve learned just how important it is to have a very hydrating shampoo and conditioner in my shower. 

The Nature Lab Tokyo Perfect Texture Shampoo and Conditioner are designed specifically for wavy and curly hair. The formulas are extremely hydrating without weighing down the hair. The other thing I love about this duo is they smell amazing! The fragrance reminds me of flirty flowers. Usually florals smell old lady-y to me, but this floral scent is so youthful and sweet. Honestly, this duo rivals the significantly more expensive Oribe Intense hydrating shampoo and conditioner.

Briogeo Scalp Revival Mask

Like I mentioned earlier, swimming has been pretty hard on my hair as well as my scalp. The Briogeo scalp revival mask is designed specifically to hydrate the scalp which I find incredibly unique as most hair masks are for the strands. This mask is formulated with tea tree, peppermint, and spearmint oils and leaves a cooling sensation on the scalp. It truly feels amazing and I’m actually on my 3rd tube because I don’t think I can live without it now especially when my scalp gets itchy in the dry winter!
