The Heimish all clean cleansing balm is one of the most popular cleansing balm formulas out there! Cleansing balms are a part of the Korean double cleansing method. The double cleansing method uses an oil cleanser like this one to remove oil based impurities (makeup and sunscreen) then following up with a gentle water based cleanser for water based impurities (dirt and sweat). Let’s get into today’s review of the Heimish cleansing balm!

Consistency

The Heimish all clean cleansing balm has a solid oil consistency in the jar that resembles pure coconut oil. When rubbed between the hands, it softens into a liquid oil that dissolves all the makeup, sunscreen, and oil based impurities on the skin. When mixed with water, it emulsifies into a milky texture that is very easy to wash off. Aren’t cleansing balms amazing?! After the balm is rinsed off with water, it does not leave any film on the skin and it’s not stripping whatsoever. I honestly had a great experience with this balm and it was even able to remove waterproof mascara!

Scent 

The Heimish cleansing balm has a very herbal, essential oil scent. The balm does not have any added fragrance, but the scent comes from the blend of oils in the formula. The Heimish balm has lavender oil, orange peel oil, eucalyptus oil, tea tree oil, and more that gives it the essential oil smell. I did not find the smell overpowering and I quite enjoyed its relaxing scent. If you’re sensitive to fragrance or essential oils, this might not be the product for you.

Packaging

The Heimish cleansing balm packaging is very effective and cute. The lid pops open and there is a liner that holds the spatula. It’s so easy to use and I love the little space for the spatula. I did not experience any problems with the packaging and it never popped open in my bag while traveling. 

Results

Overall, I really loved the Heimish all clean cleansing balm. I have a slight preference for the Banila Co. clean it zero because I like the scent of Banila better, but these balms honestly perform almost exactly the same. I’ll definitely repurchase the Heimish balm in the future although the Banila Co. clean it zero cleansing balm still remains my favorite cleansing balm to date. I have no complaints about the Heimish balm whatsoever!
