The Dr. Jart cicapair cream caught my eye while I was shopping from a holiday sale on Dr. Jart’s website. I was really curious about this cream after I had such a great experience with the Dr. Jart ceramidin cream a few months ago. I’m extremely picky about moisturizers because I have very dry skin and I live in a desert climate. I couldn’t wait to find out if the cicapair cream would be enough to hydrate my dry skin type!
The Dr. Jart cicapair cream has a rich, buttery consistency that glides on the skin to deeply hydrate and soothe irritated, dry skin. I would say the cicapair cream has an oilier texture than the ceramidin cream does. I prefer the oily consistency because my dry skin lacks the oil it needs to stay moisturized. The cicapair cream has a slight green tint that disappears when applied to the skin. When I was using this cream, I couldn’t wait to apply it morning and night because it was so hydrating and soothing to my dry skin!
The cicapair cream has a very herbal smell compared to the ceramidin cream which has no scent at all. While the formula does not have added fragrance, it does contain lavender oil which gives it the herbal smell. I actually quite enjoyed the scent and I didn’t find it overpowering at all. The scent does not linger on the skin after application.
Centella asiatica– soothes redness and irritation, moisturizes, and has antibacterial properties that prevent acne. Overall, an all star ingredient!
I enjoy using creams with a dewy finish like this one to give me a glowy look when I’m wearing foundation. I’m happy to report the Dr. Jart cicapair cream did not pill under makeup and worked as a wonderful base for foundation. I prefer using the cicapair cream under makeup as opposed to the ceramidin cream. The ceramidin cream had more of a luminous matte finish instead of the dewy finish I prefer.
The cicapair cream retails for $49 for 1.69 ounces (don’t mind my bank account crying in the back lol!). I typically stick to $30-50 for my moisturizer budget so luckily this one makes the cut. While this is a pretty pricy moisturizer, I find it well worth the money for all the amazing results I experienced while using the cream.
The Dr. Jart cream comes in a tube that is very easy to squeeze. I did not experience any issues with the cap coming unscrewed in my bag while traveling. It was also very easy to get the last bit of cream out of the tube. Overall, great packaging with no problems!
The Dr. Jart cicapair cream has officially taken the gold medal for my favorite cream of all time. I was so impressed with the rich hydration this cream gave my skin and I truly looked forward to applying it every day. I even noticed I had significantly less acne while using this cream. This makes sense to me because a damaged moisture barrier can often cause breakouts. I would highly recommend this cream to anyone with dry, sensitive, or acne prone skin!
*If you have oily or combo skin, there is also a gel formulation of the cicapair cream that has a lighter consistency!
Have you ever tried Dr. Jart?

Dr. Jart is the bomb! I avoided trying the full size products (as opposed to the sheet masks) for a long time because of the price, but now that I’ve tried the brand, I’m obsessed!

Hello Jill! I hope you’re doing well and I was eager to read this new blog post 🙂
I was about to comment “sadly this is not for an oily / combination skin type” and then I read the last sentence in the blog post… you made my day! I have read a lot of good comments not only about this line, but about many products released by Dr Jart. I have tried some of their masks and they are great, from packaging to the results that you can spot in a few minutes 🙂
Promise this one is on my list too, obviously the gel version. And I know centella asiatica has a lot of benefits, but I’d say this ingredient could be good to calm the irritation after shaving for example, so a great hydrating cream for guys tho 🙂
Have a lovely week…. and oh I also forgot to comment that the photos in this blog post are so nice!

Oh yay! I really love that Dr. Jart offers two versions of this cream for oily/combo and dry/normal skin. It’s so innovative! I love Dr. Jart so much. I waited a long time to try the brand because I didn’t want to get hooked on pricy products, but now I’m happy I’m hooked haha. I am obsessed with centella asiatica! I will tell my bf to try it after he shaves to test it out! Thanks for reading this post Pablo 🙂

I always heard a lot of good about this cream. And when I see Centella asiatica in the ingredient I know usually it’s a good product.
I love how you played with the shades of theses flowers in theses pics.

Ooooh I don’t believe I’ve tried products from Dr. Jart. These creams are tempting though! I love the aesthetic of your blog and the photos you’ve taken here for this post. The cicapair cream seems to be screaming my name but that price tag! Oh well, do it for our skin, right? Lol. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this brand and their products.

Thank you so much Des! I really appreciate the compliment. You should definitely give Dr. Jart a try, although I agree it is quite pricey. The sheet masks are a good way to try the brand without spending as much money! I would recommend the ceramidin sheet mask!

Thank you! I definitely think you would love this cream. If you’re sensitive to scent, you might like the ceramidin cream better, but I love both of them!
