The Cosrx Ceramide Cream has been on my list of products I’ve wanted to try for a while now! Cosrx is one of my favorite K-beauty brands out there because they have extremely effective, high quality formulas. I’m already a fan of their cica cream and their cica intense cream. I’ve also heard great reviews of this cream from friends and family. Time to find out if the Cosrx ceramide cream lives up to the hype!

Consistency

The Cosrx ceramide cream has a buttery consistency that absorbs easily into the skin without a greasy feel. Like many creams with ceramides in them, this cream has a luminous matte finish as opposed to a dewy glow. My dry skin feels instantly hydrated after using this. I love applying this cream after swimming to rehydrate my skin after chlorine exposure.

While this cream is best suited for dry skin, I honestly think it would be great for all skin types because of its non-greasy texture. If you have oily skin, this is probably not going to be a moisturizer you’ll want to reach for every day, but it’s great to have on hand for dry, winter days. You can also rotate between a gel moisturizer and something thicker like this for nighttime depending on your skin’s needs.

Scent

The ceramide cream has the faintest scent of sunflower oil. It is almost undetectable and doesn’t linger on the skin at all. There’s no fragrance added to the formula so this cream would be suitable for those sensitive to fragrance.

Highlighted Ingredients

Ceramides– strengthens and supports the skin barrier (this is one of my favorite ingredients for dry skin)

Centella asiatica (AKA Cica)– soothes redness and irritation as well as prevents acne 

How does it perform under makeup?

I’m happy to report the Cosrx ceramide cream doesn’t pill under makeup! I like to use this with a dewy sunscreen to give me a glowy base for foundation since this cream has a matte finish. If I’m applying makeup hours after my skin care routine, I usually use the Laura Mercier hydrating primer to supplement a hydrated glow since this cream isn’t dewy. 

Price

The Cosrx ceramide cream retails for $26 for 2.82 oz ($9.22 per ounce) on their website (you can also find this cream at Stylevana). This is an incredible price for the formula and I’m a fan of the size (most moisturizers are usually ~1.6 ounces). This cream will last you a long time making it such a steal for the price!

Packaging

This Cosrx cream comes in an easy to squeeze tube. I didn’t experience any issues with the tube like leakage or the cap coming off. No complaints here! 

Results

Overall, I really enjoyed the Cosrx ceramide cream. It’s a wonderful heavy duty cream for all skin types with a luminous matte finish that works well under makeup. Plus, I love the large tube. While I love this cream, I prefer the Cosrx cica intense cream. The cica intense cream has more of a cushiony feel with a dewy finish that I enjoy. That being said, I would still repurchase this cream in the future!
