When I saw the Colourpop the child palette, I knew I needed it because I am a huge baby yoda fan! I don’t normally like themed palettes, but the olive toned shades in this palette looked really unique to me. It’s been awhile since I’ve purchased a Colourpop palette, so I was excited to see if it still lived up to the hype.

Shimmer Shades

The Colourpop the child palette has four shimmer shades out of a total of nine colors. The shimmer shades are precious cargo (opalescent icy gold made from Colourpop’s famous super shock formula), right hand mando (light mossy green), sipping soup (a shimmery olive), and the force (a rich bronze gold). My favorites are definitely right hand mando and the force.

Matte Shades

Five out of nine shades in The Child palette are mattes. The matte shades are just like a tatooine (a warm tan), baby face (mint), little frog (rich olive), float your crib (dark pine), and droid protocol (a deep dark brown). Sometimes the mattes from Colourpop can be a bit dusty and washed out. This is not the case with The Child palette! The matte shades have a wonderful rich pigmentation that is easy to blend. I absolutely adore just like a tatooine and baby face.

Performance

Overall, I am so impressed with The Child palette! The pigmentation of this palette is just as good as my higher end palettes. I love the olive tones because they are very unique and wearable. I’ve found that this palette is very versatile. It can be worn for office appropriate looks or something more glam! I actually prefer these olive tones to the greens in the Fenty money palette, however, I love both.

Price

The Colourpop The Child palette is only $16! Colourpop is so popular because of the affordable price and rich pigmentation. This palette lives up to Colourpop’s reputation. The 9 shades are so worth the $16!

Packaging

As a major Baby Yoda fan, I absolutely adore the packaging of this Colourpop The Child palette. I love his little face on the cover of the palette as well as the little guy on the mirror. Every time I look at this palette, it makes me smile! The palette is very slim and doesn’t take up much space and it closes magnetically. I have no complaints about the packaging!

Overall, I absolutely love everything about the Colourpop the child palette. I honestly haven’t had any problems with it. If you’re eyeing this palette, I would recommend getting it now! I bought it the day it came out and it sold out shortly after. It just got restocked this week so it would make a great gift for a baby yoda fan. Honestly, two of my favorite things are baby yoda and makeup so this is a 2-in-1 deal for me lol!
