For the past couple of years, athleisure has been trending outside of the gym and finding its way into street style. Athleisure is one of the easiest ways to look cool af while remaining comfy at the same time.

As soon as I saw this sweatshirt while online shopping at Nordstrom, I knew I needed it! This sweatshirt is so soft and well fitting as far as sweatshirts go. One thing I really like about it is the inside doesn’t have the classic plush blanket fabric that most sweatshirts have. I’m glad they chose a different fabric for the inside of the sweatshirt because I hate it when sweatshirt fabric pills after a certain amount of washes. 

I am all about a good color palette and FILA really nailed it with the deep red, light blue, and teal. I also think the graphic design really spiced up an otherwise simple sweatshirt. I like that the red color is more of a brick red as opposed to a fire engine red which makes it very suitable for fall.

I got these jeans from Nasty Gal and they have truly become one of my favorite pairs. I love the stripes down the leg. It reminds me of the stripes on Adidas leggings which makes the jeans fit perfectly into the athleisure inspired category. Aside from the sporty look, I paired these jeans with the sweatshirt because I thought the red stripe would easily go together with the red sweatshirt. 

I was torn between wearing this outfit with a pair of white Adidas sneakers or these light blue New Balances. I knew I could wear this outfit with either, but I ultimately chose the New Balances to match the blue in the sweatshirt. Hehe matching is cool.

Some brands that really nail the athleisure/street style category are Nike, Adidas, FILA, and New Balance. I really love the athleisure trend because sporty clothes really are so comfortable and can be worn anywhere from lunch with friends, running errands, or walking around campus.
