The Briogeo scalp revival collection caught my eye because many brands primarily focus on the health of the hair strands and forget the importance of scalp health. Scalp health is very important to me to have healthy hair and prevent dry, itchy scalp. Here’s my thoughts on the Briogeo scalp revival collection:
When Briogeo originally released this shampoo, I was able to try a sample from Sephora and I was not a fan! Then, the brand came out with the cooling scalp mask and I redeemed my membership points to try a mini version of the kit that came with samples of both. Once I started using the micro exfoliating shampoo and following up with the scalp mask, I became a big fan of the exfoliating shampoo!
The micro exfoliating shampoo might not look appealing to the eye, but it feels oh so refreshing on the scalp! This has a gritty formula that is supposed to exfoliate debris off the scalp using a physical exfoliant. I don’t feel like this physically exfoliates the scalp, but I love the clarifying formula for removing all buildup and excess oil from my scalp.
I use the micro exfoliating shampoo once a week to keep my scalp clean! As a dry shampoo fan, clarifying shampoos are my friend. Be prepared that this shampoo will leave your hair with a squeaky clean feeling. I would not recommend using this if you’re not following up with the scalp mask to rehydrate after the deep cleanse.
The cooling scalp mask is such a game changer if you suffer from dry, itchy scalp (especially in the wintertime)! I use the scalp mask once a week after the micro exfoliating shampoo to give my scalp some much needed hydration. I love the cooling effect from the tea tree, peppermint, and spearmint oils. It feels so refreshing!
The most amazing thing about this mask is that it doesn’t weigh your hair down with oily hydration after washing. The tube has a skinny applicator that you can use to apply the mask directly to the scalp. I make several parts in my hair and squeeze directly onto the skin. I usually use a deep conditioner on my ends while this is sitting on my scalp. This is easily my favorite part of the scalp revival collection!
I’ve been using the stimulating therapy massager for over a year now! A scalp brush might seem silly, but it’s incredibly effective for removing buildup from your scalp using the soft rubber bristles. This can be used on dry hair as a scalp massager, but my favorite way to use it is in the shower with shampoo. I use this with every wash whether I’m using my regular shampoo or the micro exfoliating shampoo.
I love the Briogeo scalp revival collection, but this dry shampoo is a miss! I think it’s cool that Briogeo tried to design a dry shampoo that didn’t rely on aerosol packaging that can’t be recycled, but the formula is bad. To use this, you squeeze the bottle and the dry shampoo powder comes out in a messy puff. This dry shampoo looks sooo dusty in the hair and it gets all over my clothes and surrounding furniture. It’s the worst!
I’ve only tried deluxe samples of the charcoal + tea tree oil so this is more of an informal review. This oil is supposed to prevent dryness and is supposed to be used on a clean scalp after washing on day 1. I didn’t notice any major differences from this oil, but I was surprised it didn’t make my scalp or hair oily. I’d be curious to try this long term!

I’ve never heard about this brand before but I do enjoy the look of the products. The scalp brush sounds like something I’d enjoy using, turning the shampoo into a self-care moment! 🙂

Hey Jill, I was so happy to see new updates on your blog… welcome back! And congratulations once again for your graduation friend 🙂
Oooh and such an interesting topic to talk about. There are many things related to hair that are not discussed enough, and scalp is one of those! We usually have a lot of products to add shine, hydration, etc. but scalp is not usually mentioned right?
I have been using one of these scrap massager for over a year and it made a huge change! I’ve been suffering from itchy scalp/dry scalp since childhoold so this was a game changer! I think adding the Briogeo extra mask could help even more!
PS: I am currently using the caffeine eye cream by the inkey list and the Snail cream by COSRx…. So far I am delighted with them!
