I knew it was time to try the Farmacy honey halo cream after hearing great things about Farmacy Beauty. I have very dry skin and I live in a desert climate so rich, hydrating creams are a must. Since the brand described this cream as “ultra-hydrating”, I needed to test it out for myself.
The Farmacy honey halo cream has a delightfully thick texture exactly like butter. Because I have such dry skin and live in a dry climate, I chose the Farmacy honey halo ultra hydrating cream as opposed to the lighter cream from the brand. Since winter is coming and the heater is going to be blasting 24/7 drying out our skin, I need a rich texture like this.
This cream glides on the skin nicely without feeling oily or greasy. Since I do have extra dry skin, I like to use a facial oil or small amount of Vaseline to seal the moisturizer in at night time. If you have oily or combo skin, this moisturizer comes in a lighter version called Honey Drop.
The Farmacy honey halo ceramide cream smells delightfully like real honey. If someone put honey halo and a jar of real honey in front of me, I’m not sure I’d be able to smell the difference! The honey halo scent is not overpowering in the slightest. I can smell it while I’m applying from the jar, but the scent does not linger on the skin. If you are sensitive to fragrance, I think you would be safe with this cream in my opinion.
Buckwheat honey and propolis-to provide antioxidants, moisture, and soothing properties to the skin
Fig fruit extract and osmolytes– to moisturize and plump skin
Ceramides-to replenish the skin barrier and prevent moisture loss in the skin
This Farmacy cream does not pill under makeup, however, I prefer using it as a night cream instead of a day cream. I’ve noticed that creams with a lot of ceramides in them don’t tend to have a glowy finish, they look more hydrated. I really like a cream with a dewy finish under makeup so my skin won’t have a cakey dry look when I’m wearing foundation.
Since this cream isn’t super glowy, I don’t love using it for makeup prep. Like I said, I love using this cream at nighttime and I wouldn’t necessarily avoid using it for day time use since it doesn’t pill. It just depends on the finish you like your makeup to have as well as your skin type.
The Farmacy honey halo cream retails at $45 for 1.7 ounces. Aside from the Lancome renergie cream I recently reviewed, I like to stick in the $30-$50 price range for my creams so this one fits into my budget. I think this is a good price for the high quality moisturizing ingredients. I certainly feel it’s worth the value.
The packaging of the honey halo cream is one of my favorite things about this product. The jar is shaped like a hexagon which reminds me of a honeycomb shape. The wooden lid is so cool because the spatula magnetically attaches to the lid! This makes it so easy to find the spatula quickly. The only bad thing about the jar is that the product in the corners is a little more difficult to get at the end of the jar, but it’s honestly not a huge deal. I love seeing this design on my vanity!
Overall, I had a really great experience using the Farmacy honey halo cream. I accidentally deleted my original product shots before downloading them so I ended up repurchasing the jar to take the ones you see in this post. I’m happy to have more of this cream especially since the dry winter season is here.
I was using the Innisfree youth enriched orchid cream before the Farmacy honey halo. I loved the Innisfree cream and I can’t say I noticed a huge difference in my skin when I made the switch to honey halo. This cream is awesome and I love that it’s infused with honey. This was my first time trying out Farmacy and I really like the brand so far. I hope to try their most popular product, the honey potion hydrating mask soon!

Oooh!!! Farmacy honey halo cream sounds so fancy. I know this is perfect for me and my super dry skin @__@. The texture sounds amazing! It is a bummer that it doesn’t work that well with makeup. Though, using it as a night cream sounds like a good alternative. The packaging is super cute too! Glad you enjoyed the cream!!
