Since I think we’ve all had enough of wearing leggings everyday in quarantine, I thought I’d share some fun summer fashion essentials. Leggings are obviously very comfortable, but I feel most me when I’m wearing a fun outfit I’ve put together that truly expresses myself. All these picks today are perfect for hot summers, but remain practical at the same time 🙂

Versatile Tanks

Tanks are essential for summer because they can be styled several ways and keep you extra cool at the same time. I got this tank from Reformation, but I no longer support the brand because of the Black employees that spoke up about the racist practices of the company a couple months ago. Everlane and Lulus have some cute summer tanks!

Matching sets

I hope the matching set trend never dies. There’s something that just looks so put together about matching sets. Oh wait, I know what it is! It’s cause they’re matching lol. Matching sets are easy to dress up or down so they can be worn out to coffee with friends (with your handy dandy mask of course ;)) or worn out on a date. I styled this matching set with my Adidas Continental 80’s for a casual, yet cute fit. The exact set I wore is no longer available, but I have multiple sets from Abercrombie and Fitch that I love.

Straight Leg Pants

Purchasing these white pants really upgraded my closet this year. I had been wanting a good pair of white pants forever and I’m so glad I got these Everlane straight leg cropped pants. The pockets on the front and backside are phenomenally large and practical. These are honestly the pockets women deserve after being cheated with tiny ass pockets or pockets that are sewn shut. The fabric of these pants is just a little bit stretchy so I can comfortably eat a big meal without feeling constricted by my pants. I can’t be the only one who has had my sushi intake limited by a denim prison?!

High Waisted Swimsuits

There’s nothing more classic and flattering than a good ole high waisted swimsuit. This black swimsuit set from Aerie (top/bottoms) is my favorite. The thing I love most about high waisted swimsuits is that they are both modest and sexy. A high waisted swimsuit shows less skin while bringing more attention to the waistline. Excellent.

Maxi Dresses

Maxi dresses are the easiest way to stay cool and comfy while looking elegant at the same time. This flowy dress from Lush Boutique has become one of my favorite pieces of the summer. I could imagine myself strolling the streets of Paris in pursuit of croissants haha. Maxi dresses are one of those pieces that can easily be styled up with a pair of heels or styled down with a cute pair of white sneakers.
