A few months ago, I started seeing ads for Sheertex tights pop up on my social media accounts. It’s not often that an ad catches my eye, but I was intrigued by Sheertex’s claim that their tights were unrippable. Sheertex was nice enough to send me a couple pairs to actually give them a try and I’m here to say, their tights are truly phenomenal!

I used to avidly avoid tights because they were so uncomfortable and flimsy. When I would wear tights, they always ended up ripping on me and there’s nothing worse than walking around with a run in your tights that just turns into a gaping hole throughout the day. Sheertex tights are 10x’s stronger than steel and they’re truly unrippable!

When Sheertex sent me a pair of their tights, I spent at least 20 minutes trying to rip them haha. They even send a small sample of their fabric with every purchase that you can try to rip. Don’t try this at home, but I couldn’t resist attempting to tear them with a dinner knife and they literally didn’t rip! So insane!

I also wear my Sheertex to my retail job where I frequently lift heavy boxes and brush against the sharp edges of shelves. The first day I wore them to my job, I really scraped my leg on a shelf as I passed by and I gasped because any normal tights would’ve ripped, but my Sheertex were totally undamaged.

While I love that Sheertex are unrippable, my favorite thing about their tights is the waistband. The waistband is very wide (about 4-5 inches) and it sits close to the skin without cutting into your stomach. 

I used to avoid tights because I always felt like the thin waistband was like a rubber band cutting off all my organs. When I would take off my old tights, I was left with an angry red line around my torso. With Sheertex’s wide band, this never happens to me anymore! The tights feel like a second skin, even on the waistband, that allow me to move comfortably through my day.

I feel like a lot of women’s clothes were made to restrict women. Clothes such as pants with tiny pockets, high heels that make it harder to get around, and tights that cut off our organs are a couple of restricting clothes that just can’t keep up with women’s lives. Sheertex is different because you can look stylish AND feel comfortable in them without having to worry about them tearing in the middle of the day.

Another reason I think Sheertex is super cool is because the tights were invented by a female CEO, Katherine Homuth. I really love seeing female lead companies and inventions that keep real women in mind. Homuth created tights that are actually durable enough to keep up with all the badass things women do day to day and I really appreciate that.
